San Diego California Nightlife - Music at local pop-music clubs serve up
easy-on-the-ears rock to edgy alternative tunes from some of San Diego's finest
up-and-coming bands. Dance clubs and bars in the Gaslamp Quarter, La Jolla, and
at Pacific and Mission beaches tend to fill up during the weekends. If you crave
authentic country-western music, you can find a venue to please you here. The
softer sounds of music can be found throughout plenty of piano bars and smooth
and relaxing jazz clubs pack in the masses.
Every Friday, you can check out The Reader, which is San Diego's free
alternative newsweekly. If you’d like to find out where to go to enjoy an
exciting night, pick up San Diego magazine's "Restaurant & Nightlife Guide" or
the San Diego-Union Tribune (which publishes a weekly entertainment insert on
Thursdays called Night and Day). There are plenty of rock and pop concerts to
attend or trendy martini bars if you favor a drink. There are plenty of
nightclubs, as well as and dinner-and-dance cruises on the bay for those who
like to let loose on a dance floor. Go beyond the Gaslamp Quarter and hang out
