If you’d like to shop around, seek out the Horton Plaza, a multilevel shopping mecca located downtown, near the historic Gaslamp Quarter. Here you will find the national historic district, where you can view most of San Diego's Victorian commercial buildings. If you favor a nice cigar, visit the Cuban cigar factory in the area.

A little closer to San Diego, you can travel to Mission Bay where you can enjoy Sea World. A variety of dolphins, killer whales, seals and marine birds are ready to entertain. Other attractions include the San Diego Wild Animal Park, where you can see a variety of animals by riding a 5-mile monorail throughout the park. If you need to find a place to entertain the kiddies, take them to the Model Railroad Museum, where you can view loads of miniature railways.
